Mio for Chiefs of Staff
Synthesis and visibility across the company — without manually pulling it together.
The AI coworker built for your role
A Chief of Staff lives at the intersection of everything. Engineering updates, sales pipeline, executive prep, board materials, team priorities, cross-functional blockers — you’re expected to know the state of all of it at any given moment.
The problem is that getting that information means manually synthesising five different tools, pinging five different team leads, and reading through dozens of Slack threads every morning. Mio does that synthesis for you. Ask anything in Slack, get a grounded answer in seconds.
What Chiefs of Staff use Mio for
Executive prep
Before every meeting your exec attends, ask Mio to prepare a brief. It pulls the relevant CRM history, email threads, project status, and Slack context into a structured summary. Your exec walks in informed, every time, without a 30-minute prep session with you.
Daily brief for the leadership team
Each morning, ask Mio: “@Mio what does the leadership team need to know today?” Mio reads overnight Slack activity, surfaces open flags, checks the calendar, and returns a prioritised brief you can share in the exec channel or use to open your daily sync.
Board and investor materials
Drafting board updates and investor reports from scratch is one of the most time-consuming parts of the CoS role. Ask Mio to pull the month’s highlights from each team’s channels and tools, and it returns a structured draft you can edit and send — grounded in actual data, not your reconstruction of it.
Company status on demand
“@Mio what’s the state of the product roadmap?” “@Mio which deals are at risk this quarter?” “@Mio what decisions were made in last week’s exec meeting?” Mio reads across your connected tools and Slack history to answer any company status question in seconds.
Cross-functional visibility
Understanding blockers and dependencies across teams without attending every standup is one of the hardest parts of the role. Mio reads the relevant channels and project tools to surface blockers, unresolved dependencies, and anything that needs escalation — before it becomes a problem.
Weekly digests
Ask Mio to draft the company weekly, the all-hands update, or the cross-functional recap. It reads each team’s channels and tools, synthesises what happened, and returns a structured digest. You review, edit, and distribute — without writing it from scratch.
Works with 3,000+ tools
Mio connects to 3,000+ tools. It pulls from wherever your team’s work actually lives — project management, CRM, email, calendar, documents, code repositories, and the Slack channels where decisions get made. The more of your stack you connect, the more complete and accurate Mio’s answers become.
How it fits into a CoS workflow
Mio is Slack-native. There is no new app to check or new dashboard to maintain. You invite Mio to the channels that matter — /invite @Mio in the exec channel, the company channel, and any cross-functional channel — and ask questions the same way you’d ask a well-informed colleague.
The answers come back in Slack, visible to whoever needs them. You can ask in private for your own research, or ask in a shared channel so the whole leadership team can see the answer.

Frequently asked questions
Can multiple executives share one Mio instance?
Yes. Mio is installed at the workspace level, so all members of the workspace can use it. Each person connects their own tool integrations individually. A CoS can ask questions on behalf of the exec team, or invite Mio to shared channels so everyone can query it directly.
Does Mio have access to sensitive executive channels?
Only if you invite it. Mio only reads messages in channels where it has been explicitly added with /invite @Mio. You control exactly which channels it can see, including sensitive exec and board channels.
Can Mio help draft board materials?
Yes. Ask Mio to pull the relevant data from your connected tools and draft a structured outline. It works best as a starting point — you review, refine the narrative, and add the judgment that Mio can’t provide. It saves the hours of data collection, not the final editorial pass.
How do I set up Mio for a leadership team?
Install Mio from app.mio.xyz, invite it to your exec and leadership channels, and connect the key integrations (Google Workspace, your CRM, your project tool). That setup takes under 10 minutes. Email support@mio.xyz if you want help configuring it for your team’s specific workflow.
