AI Weekly Recap
Ship your weekly team update without writing a word.
The weekly update, written for you
Writing the weekly update is one of the most time-consuming rituals in any team. You pull together what shipped, what moved, what’s blocked — usually by scanning five different tools and writing a summary from scratch. Mio does that scan for you and drafts the digest directly in Slack.
Ask: “@Mio draft the weekly update for #engineering.” Mio reads the channel’s message history, cross-references what closed and what shipped, checks what’s still open, and returns a structured digest. You review, edit if needed, and post. The whole thing takes under two minutes.
What goes into a Mio weekly recap
- What shipped. Completed work drawn from your project tools and channel history — with links back to the source.
- What’s in progress. Active work and its current state, so the team knows what to expect next week.
- What moved. Items carried over from last week with a note on why.
- Blockers. Anything flagged as blocked, with the relevant context so stakeholders can act.
- Upcoming priorities. What the team is focused on next, pulled from your backlog and channel discussions.
Works with 3,000+ tools
Mio connects to 3,000+ tools. The weekly recap is only as good as the sources it can read — the more you connect, the more complete and accurate the digest. Mio pulls from Slack channel history, project management tools, code repositories, documents, and any other connected source to build a full picture of the week.
Use cases
- Engineering weekly. What shipped, what’s in review, what carried over, what’s blocked — posted to #engineering every Friday.
- Company all-hands update. A cross-functional digest for leadership, drawing from every team’s channel and tools.
- Sales pipeline recap. Deals that moved, deals that closed, what needs follow-up, what’s at risk.
- Ops and finance brief. Spend, headcount changes, and operational highlights for the week.
- Founder weekly. A single digest that gives you visibility across the whole company without attending every standup.

Frequently asked questions
Can Mio send the recap automatically every Friday?
Scheduled recaps are on the roadmap. For now you trigger them on demand with one message in Slack. Email support@mio.xyz to be notified when scheduled recaps ship.
Can it cover multiple teams in one digest?
Yes. Ask Mio to recap multiple channels at once: “@Mio draft a company weekly covering #engineering, #sales, and #ops.” Mio reads all three channels and merges the output into a single structured update.
Does it pull from channels it hasn’t been invited to?
No. Mio only reads messages in channels it has been explicitly invited to. To include a channel in recaps, type /invite @Mio in that channel first.
How do I adjust what’s included?
Tell Mio in natural language. “@Mio draft the weekly for #engineering, focus on what shipped and skip anything still in planning.” Mio follows your instructions and adjusts the output accordingly.
